Developing the Next Generation of Rainmakers Try These Things to Attract More Business Clients Several years ago I read an article that included a discussion of a book with a lengthy title: Business Lunchatations: How an Everyday Guy Became One of America’s Most Powerful CEOs…and How You Can Too!  His ideas are designed for CEOs but they also apply to lawyers. The author of the book lists the following: All of these suggestions are important. The one that dramatically increased my business is number 4. It was amazing how well I did when I began helping potential clients with no expectation of anything in return. For a young eager lawyer who is anxious to show results, this is challenging, but I urge you to try it. I practiced law for 37 years developing a national construction law practice representing some of the top highway and transportation construction contractors in the US.
